Laura’s debut feature, I Am Maris, was acquired by NETFLIX and streamed from April 2019-April 2021. It is distributed globally, domestically, and on the educational market by Oscar-winning ro*co films and can now be viewed on Apple TV and Amazon Prime. After the Netflix premiere, the film was licensed by lululemon athletica for a 5-city theatrical tour and speaker series.

Laura has written, produced, directed and edited three short films (two narratives and one documentary), all of which have been official selections at film festivals around the country including: the prestigious Academy Award Qualified LAShortsFest, SF Indie Fest, Hollywood Film Festival, Austin Short Film Festival, and Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival.

Laura has produced entertainment and marketing video content for artists, social media and corporations. Clients include: Toyota, AwestruckTV, BabyCenter.com, Sunfunder, Netflix, Powis Parker, Sephora, Food Share, SpeedShare, OneDaySF and New York Rock Exchange. Winner of the #BlogHer 2017 Voices of the Year Award for viral social media video “If Siri Was a Mom.”

Before devoting herself to filmmaking, she spent a decade as an art & editorial director, creative strategist, and trends researcher in the publishing industry. She holds a Master’s Degree in Theatre from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor’s Degree from Lewis and Clark College, in Portland, OR.
